Not Always. A subluxation can be compared to a dental cavity. The cavity can be there a long time before symptoms appear. That is why periodic check -ups are important in order for the chiropractor to detect the subluxation before the symptoms occur. Often the symptoms are the last to show up, but fortunately, are the first to go away. Chiropractic, just like dentistry, should be a preventative form of health care.
